It really is a shame too because I was so excited for this movie prerelease, the trailers felt so fundamentally different to this movie in every way from story to tone to characters, etc. I no longer watch any of these movies now. Had Captain Marvel come BEFORE infinity war people may have had more fun with it and really enjoyed it. Whereas the first LEGO Marvel Superheroes (and its eventual sequel) would largely base themselves in the Marvel comic universe with movie-inspired substitutes for popular characters and locations, LEGO Avengers was focused on the first two Avengers movies, and ended up having to pack it with comic-based content. first the rat then the whole time travel being so easy we dont get to see it except the very first time. I think a lot of general audience felt her film would tie in more with the arc of Infinity War and endgame, either in story or tone. It's definitely the Marvel movie with the most wasted potential. That way there is so many more movies that can be added, for example the X-Men. Cap is a lot of people's favourite character but he also provides a moral center for the audience. And Captain Marvel should have been introduced after Endgame or significantly earlier, so we can get to know her character better before she comes into the story. Other problems occur with dialogue and Captain Marvel having only less than 10 mins even after being regarded as being vital to the plot. The writing is totally different and most of the OG characters are dead or mostly absent (aside from Hulk), so it's not surprising that the MCU would lose fans after the "final" movie. After love & thunder I realized that we’re never getting a movie that respected it’s source as well as Winter Soldier from Marvel again. We fell in love with new characters and learned just how big and how bad Thanos is. I like the idea of ms marvel and the current actress making it big and getting into a movie, but the plot itself and other actresses have me worried it won’t be worth the money spent at the theater. The scene where Tony is talking to Howard in the alternate timeline when they are doing the infinity stone heist and at the part where Howard was asking Tony if we was nervous when he had his daughter which tony replies “wildly”. Here are my strongest critiques of the movie: Endgame, Shang-Chi, Wakanda Forever, Thor Ragnarok (and arguably MoM) all have big battles between two armies. It doesnt seem too far fetched cuz they've hinted at it three times so far. The game was so broken the road map they published was a non-starter due to the insane amount of time it took to sort everything out - there wasnt any coming back from that. The last great movie except for a small Spider-man comeback.
